What is DKIM and how does it work?
DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) uses cryptographic public/private key pairs to add a digital signature to your outbound emails. The private key stays secure on your mail server, while the public key is published as a DNS TXT record under your selector (e.g. default._domainkey.yourdomain.com).
When a recipient receives your email, their mail server verifies the cryptographic signature against your public DNS record. This guarantees the email was genuinely sent by you and was not tampered with in transit.
